The BLAS (Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms) are routines that provide standard building blocks in FORTRAN and C for performing basic vector and matrix operations. BLAS can perform scalar, vector and vector-vector operations, matrix-vector operations, and matrix-matrix operations.

BLAS is available to Stern faculty and PhD Students on all research computing machines.

Programs written using BLAS are Stern GRID capable.
